Plan for a Car Emergency - via SoundMoneyTips
1) Bring a first aid kit. This should include bandages, gauze, adhesive, tape, antiseptic cream, instant ice and heat compresses, scissors and aspirin.
2) Be sure to have equipment to fix your car. This should include materials to change a tire (a working jack, a spare tire, a lug nut wrench or tire iron, a pipe for leverage, and a can of Fix-A-Flat or another tire inflator), two quarts of oil, a gallon of water and antifreeze, brake fluid, power-steering fluid, automatic transition fluid, jumper cables (at least eight feet long), gloves, duct tape, and screw drivers.
3) It is also important to have roadside flares, a blanket, bottled water, and some non-perishable packaged food in case you are really stuck.
